BELIEVE AND ACT

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

The Bible tells us of two blind men who came to Jesus, crying out, “...Thou son of David, have mercy on us” (Matthew 9:27). Jesus didn’t respond to them immediately but waited until they followed Him to the house. Then the Lord asked them, “...Believe ye that I am able to do this?....” They responded, “...Yea, Lord” (Matthew 9:28). Then, the Bible records, He touched “... their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened...” (Matthew 9:29-30).

Notice His question to the two blind men: “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” Their healing depended on their belief. Similarly, in Mark 9:22, a man brought his son to Jesus for healing and pleaded, “...If thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.” The Master responded, “...If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23). The man thought the responsibility was entirely on Jesus, but Jesus showed him it was about his belief. The man replied, “... Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief” (Mark 9:24). Despite this mix of faith and doubt, the Lord had mercy on him and healed his son (Mark 9:25).

God is always willing to do anything for you. The requirement is your faith. It’s not enough to simply believe; you must act like you believe. Talk like you believe. Think like you believe. If you don’t think like you believe, you won’t talk like it, and if you don’t talk like it, you won’t act like it. God’s Word renews your mind and helps you think correctly, enabling you to live in alignment with your belief (Romans 12:2).

No matter how significant a project or assignment is, even if you’re convinced it’s authentic and from God, it won’t happen unless you believe it’s possible. Without belief, you won’t engage in what’s required to make it happen; instead, you’ll see it as a failed venture or a waste of resources. For example, you have to believe that the full preaching of the Gospel around the world is possible. The Bible says, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). Without this belief, you won’t take the steps necessary to accomplish the task.

For the first time in history, we are in a world equipped with the technology and workforce needed to reach everyone. God’s people all over the world are ready— they’re prepared to go everywhere without restriction, and we are set to mobilize and deploy all that’s necessary. Believe it’s possible. Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds my faith and gives me the right mindset. I believe in the possibility of reaching the world with the Gospel in this time. I act, speak, and think with conviction; you’ve equipped me with all I need to bring your vision to fruition, knowing that all things are possible to him that believes. Thank you for empowering me to play my part in this divine mandate, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
